Most similar plugins work by adding CAPTCHA fields to all forms, or by moving the login page.
While these methods are highly efficient, they might be disruptive to the site's users, forcing them to enter a CAPTCHA code every time they login, or making them remember a wacky URL just for authenticating on the site.
The Security-protection plugin works on a low-level, adding two extra fields to the login, registration, and lost password forms.
These fields are hidden via CSS to users, but are very visible to bots. When users access these pages and fill in the forms, the fields are ignored. If a bot accesses the same pages, then he fills in those two fields and he gives himself away, getting blocked by the plugin and having his form submission ignored.
The plugin has no special settings page or complex setup routine. Just install and deploy. It will work like a charm.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
